What is Orthopaedics?
甚麼是骨科?
骨科醫生的工作就是診斷、治療、預防及復康關於肌肉骨骼系統及脊椎的創傷、退化、感染、失調、腫瘤及先天性病患。涉及部位包括脊柱，盤骨及四肢肢體的骨骼、關節、韌帶、肌肉、神經和筋腱等。
骨科醫生跟脊醫不同。脊醫主要處理功能性的問題，並用物理性方法醫治。骨科醫生同時會處理結構性毛病，並可用藥物及手術方式處理。但他們不會如脊醫般直接用手法”正骨”，如有需要，會轉介到物理治療師或脊醫去處理。
Who is a spine surgeon?
Some of the Orthopaedic Surgeons and Neurosurgeon have training, special interest and expertise in spine pathology and surgery, but we are not allowed to claim himself as spine surgeon, according to rule and regulation in Hong Kong.
誰是脊椎科醫生?
一些骨科醫生和神經外科醫生在他們受訓時對脊椎病變和手術較有興趣，期間多實踐並在這範疇的專業知識方面較專。但根據香港醫委會的法規，醫生並不允許聲稱自己是脊柱外科醫生。
Musculoskeletal problems are now divided into the following subspecialties

Some are based on bodily parts, some are related to pathologies, patient groups. Some overlaps exist.
